Reserve Dinner Here!

On November 15th we will release reservations for all December dates.

Each reservation time specifies either Dining Room - Indoors (our dining room) or Bar (indoor bar seating) when you book your reservation. When you join us we will ONLY be able to honor the reservation you booked. We can accommodate parties of 1-5 guests in our dining room, and parties of 1-2 at our bar. Our availability for parties of five guests is extremely limited. There will be a time limit of 2.5 hours for all of our reservations.

Unfortunately, we can not seat parties larger than five. We are not be able to combine reservations to make one larger party.

A credit card is required to confirm your booking. If you need to cancel, we ask that you do so by 5:00pm the day prior to your reservation. Cancellations made after 5:00 PM the day prior to your reservation, day of bookings that are cancelled the same day as the reservation, and no-shows will be charged a $25/person cancellation fee.

Bar Info!
We take reservations for 1-2 guests at the main bar. We have four additional bar seats in the “nook” that are available first come, first serve daily.

Walk-In Info!
We do our best to accommodate walk-ins and it’s always worth popping by if you are in the neighborhood to check if we have space or can add you to a waitlist. The best bet for snagging a walk-in spot is arriving right as our doors open for dinner.

A few things worth noting:

  • We can be tricky to find! Our address is 1827 Adams Mill Road NW, but our entrance in on the Lanier Place side of the building. We’re right behind Compass Coffee.

  • Reservations may be cancelled up until 5:00pm the day prior to your reservation. Cancellations made after 5:00 PM the day prior to your reservation, day of bookings that are cancelled the same day as the reservation, and no-shows will be charged a $25/person cancellation fee.

  • We can not accommodate strollers in our intimate dining room, but do have high chairs available for kiddos.
    Please count your kiddo in your guest count. Our tables for two can not accommodate a high chair for a kiddo plus two adults.

  • With our a la carte menu we can always accommodate someone who has a nut allergy, shellfish allergy, avoids gluten, dairy or is vegetarian, pescatarian or vegan. If you have compound restrictions or other allergies please reach out in advance of booking your reservation so we can confirm we can accommodate you.   • We can seat parties up to five in our dining room, parties up to four on our patio, and parties up to two at our bar.

  • There is a time limit of two and half hours for all of our reservations.

  • Parking in Adams Morgan is extremely difficult. We recommend using Uber or public transportation when you join us. There is limited paid parking in the neighborhood which can be found in a small lot located in the alley behind our building and a larger lot a few blocks south of us on 18th Street. These lots charge $30 for parking. If you do drive we recommend factoring in extra time to find parking.

  • If you are trying to make a reservation but there's no availability, please add yourself to the waitlist. RESY will send you an alert when a cancellation occurs.

  • A 20% service fee will be added to your bill. The entirety of these charges is retained by Tail Up Goat, of which 100% is distributed to all non-management employees in the form of wages and benefits. We believe this compensation model creates equity, stability and consistency for all employees across our kitchen and dining room. We have included an optional tip line, should you choose to acknowledge exceptional hospitality. Tips go into a tip-pool and are distributed amongst all hourly employees who work throughout the day to create your dining experience.
