Join us in our dining room for a six course collab with our friend Steven Satterfield from Miller Union featuring Jewel Of The South cocktails.

We met Steven all the way back in 2017 when he was in town for Sips & Suppers. We cooked with him at Sips & Suppers for the next few years and are so excited to have him back in DC. In 2017 he won the James Beard Award for Best Chef: Southeast and is a two time cookbook author.

Steven and Jon will be celebrating Sprummer! The dinner will highlight the start of summer produce in Atlanta and the spring produce in full swing in DC. Jewel of the South cocktails will be featured for our guests joining us in the dining room. If you aren’t joining us for dinner and want some Jewel drinks — read on for more info!

Dinner will be six, family style courses with everything served to be shared. Each dish can be modified to be vegetarian or nut free. As this is a family style dinner the modified dish will be served for the entire table if a vegetarian or nut free modification is needed. We can not accommodate any other restrictions. For example we could not host someone who avoids any of the following: gluten, dairy, eggs, nightshades, alliums, capsaicin, citrus, shellfish, fin fish. That is not an exhaustive list of ingredients, if you have questions about an allergy or dietary restriction please send us a note (hello@tailupgoat.com) prior to booking as bookings are non-refundable and the menu can not be altered except for those avoiding nuts and for vegetarians. Dinner will be $125/person excluding beverages, 20% service fee, and sales tax. Tickets for this dinner are NON-REFUNDABLE. Reservations cancelled by June 15th will receive a gift card in the amount of the purchase to use at Tail Up Goat. Reservations cancelled after June 15th and no shows will not receive a gift card.

Jewel of the South returns to Tail Up Goat! Owned by dear friends Victoria Espinel and John Stubbs we last hosted the Jewel team in 2018 just before their opening. We’ll be joined by Chris Hannah & Shaun Williams. Chris Hannah is a Cofounder and Partner and directs Jewel’s award-winning cocktail program. Jewel of The South won the James Beard award for Outstanding Bar in 2024 and was recently named the #4 best bar in North America by Worlds 50 Best along with retaining it’s title for the third year in a row as the Best Bar in South USA.

Our bar and patio will be available on a first come, first serve basis for drinks by Jewel Of The South. If we’re running a wait we’ll take your name & shoot you a text when your spot is ready.
